§03 Background

Charles began his career in private equity at Credit Suisse after graduating from the NYU Stern School of Business with a degree in Finance.

He then advised AppDisco on the international expansion of AdLatte, before co-founding Eco Building Technologies Group — a Hong Kong–headquartered building materials technology company operating across Mainland China and Southeast Asia. He raised over US$5 million, brought its construction technologies to market, and led the company to an acquisition that returned 18× to investors.

As Director of Operations at a Swiss venture incubator, he worked alongside founders and executive teams on corporate strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market execution across its portfolio.

He went on to co-found BOOQED, a venture-backed workplace platform that became one of Asia’s leading IoT workplace technology companies. He helped raise more than US$3 million, led its pivot from a workspace marketplace to an enterprise IoT platform through the COVID-19 pandemic, and grew the business to roughly US$1 million in enterprise revenue within six months of that pivot. BOOQED later merged with Komstadt, where he now serves as Chief Product Officer, leading product strategy and commercialization across Asia-Pacific and North America.

Most recently he co-founded EastRouter, an AI infrastructure company whose unified, OpenAI-compatible gateway makes the world’s frontier models — Asian foundation models in particular — accessible to developers and enterprises without vendor lock-in.
